THE BEST INTERPRETERS
All of our interpreters have more than 10 years experience and belong to the Spanish Association of Conference Interpreters and to other associations of international renown. We are concerned about your company's image and relations.
THE BEST EQUIPMENT
Our radio and infrared equipment for simultaneous interpreting uses the very latest technology.

Tips for guaranteeing a good interpreting service:

1) Always use interpeters that belong to an association of conference interpreters; interpreting is a highly specialised profession that does not only require a perfect knowledge of languages, but also good training and extensive experience.

2) Always insist on a written confidentiality agreement.

3) Ask for simultaneous interpreters for an instant translation. The interpreters, in soundproofed booths, receive the speaker's speech through headphones and those present listen through receivers. This type of interpreting is used for conferences, congresses, courses, and all other kinds of meetings that require a translation in real time.

4) Ask for consecutive interpreters for negotiations and arbitration involving a maximum of two or three languages. The interpreters sit at the conference table, take notes on what is being said and, once the speaker has finished, interpret it into another language. This type of interpreting does not take place in real time and means that meetings last longer.

5) It is a good idea to provide the interpreters with documentation on the subject of the conference before it is actually held (if possible 2 days in advance). The interpreters can thus familiarise themselves with the terminology that is going to be used.

6) If you want to find the most suitable interpreters, you will need to hire them sufficiently in advance.

7) Simultaneous interpreting equipment may be by radio or by infrared. Infrared equipment means more confidentiality, since the information does not leave the hall in which the meeting is held. Nevertheless, the lights may affect the working of the equipment. Ask experts which is the most suitable equipment for your conference.

8) For simultaneous interpreting, it is necessary to hire 2 interpreters per language so that they can take it in turns. For consecutive interpreting, you only need to hire 1 interpreter.

9) The interpreters' booths must be well ventilated and meet the ISO recommendations with respect to size.

10) If you use audiovisual material (presentations by computer, overheads...), interpreters should ideally be able to see this material directly from their booths.
